top ten || baby names

Hey there!

Are all my lovely friends doing good? I mean, with all this corona virus stuff going around, and now having to stay at home, you can get really bored. You know? I'm doing pretty good, though I wish I could get out and see people. You see, I love to get together with family and now that we can't leave our house unless necessary, I'm soooooooo lonely!

 A N Y W A Y S !

I thought it would be fun if I shared with you all, my top ten baby names. I'm going to do top ten boys, and top ten girls. So all together there will be twenty names. *winks*

Without much further ado, my favorite baby names!!

Boys:

|| Tucket

I have loved the book, "Tucket's Travles" by, Gary Paulsen ever since LaKaysha read it to me when I was little. I loved how brave Tucket was, and the way he roamed the wild west. And just the other day I said "Tucket" out loud and I loved the way it sounded. So western and strong. So. My first son, (if my husband agrees) is probably going to be named, Tucket.

|| Rafe

I just love the way it sounds. To me when I hear the name, Rafe, I think of some cool Mexican cowboy or something. *laughs* I recently found this one and I really like it. (even though my sister does too...)

|| Ryan

This is another one from a very loved book. "To Tame A Land" by, Louis L'Amour. I loved\love this book. all the thrills and plot twists are amazing. I have always loved the name Ryan, but been a little skeptical about it because I have a cousin with the name. But since he's a lot older than me and probably doesn't even know who I am, I decided to use it. *winks*

|| Flint

Now. This one is a favorite in this house, so we'll have to see who actually uses it. *winks* But, I know that I just love western, rugged names, and this one gives me all the feels.

|| Micah

Ah. Ever since we watched "The Rifleman" when I was little, I always loved this name. It's so manly. So beautiful.

|| Laramie

This one I found from the show "Laramie" and the book, "A Gown Of Spanish Lace" by, Janette Oke. Since reading that book, I've always liked the name, and once we watched "Laramie" and really liked the way it sounded. So western and wonderful. xD I like a lot of western names, okay?

|| Adam

Ah, yes. Adam. We all know Adam from Bonanza. Right? Well, he was one of my first loves. I always thought he was the best. While everyone else was squealing over Little Joe, little ol' me and LaKaysha sat there and loved Adam. *laughs* (can you tell I came from a family of mostly girls??)

|| Jesse

I have always, I mean, always loved the name Jesse. It was another western name that really got me. Whenever I'd play when I was little, I would always have someone named Jesse, Justin, or Mark. I love those three names. But I have more that I'd prefer to put on this list then them, so I just mentioned them so you know. xP

|| Flynn

We all know, Flynn Rider from "Tangled" right? After watching that movie for the first time, I really liked the name. It's just, I don't know, amazing? *laughs*

|| Wayne

Wayne. Just say that out loud and think about it. Wayne. How beautiful, right? *sighs* It's another great name. <3

Girls:

|| Jessica

Now. Anyone who knows me, and played with me as a kid, will know that I was always, Jessica. I always thought it was so western, and yet so elegant. I just love rustic, and elegant names. <3

|| Leona

Now this one, I came up with maybe a couple of years ago? It's so pretty in my mind, and....... *drumroll* My dad's name is Leon, so it's practically his name but with an 'a' at the end!! I thought that was so cute, and so now, (if my husband agrees) my first daughter is going to be Leona. <3

|| Jubilee

This one is so pretty too! (okay, in my mind they're all pretty) I just love it. <3 I can't even think of where I came up with it or anything. One day it was just there and I liked it.

|| Ruby

*grins* Now this one came from my sisters. *winks* My sisters where\are quite imaginative, and when they were young and I was little, we watched "The Rifleman". Well, they came up with a tv show, (all in their heads) about Mark and his wife, Ruby. Now Ruby didn't exist in "The Rifleman" but they made her up. Oh I can still hear their excited chatter as the stories rolled off their tongues late at night, putting my to sleep. It was such a cozy time and I still remember some of the stories. But anyways! That's where my love for this name came. (but I may have to fight one of my sisters for it...)

|| December

Ever since I was little, I always wanted a daughter and to name her, December. I wanted to name her, December Mae. It sounded\sounds so pretty together and I still very much love it. <3

|| Robin

Ah, yes. Robin. Now this one came from my love for Roy Rogers. He was\is my hero. I remember LaKaysha telling me about his and Dale's little daughter, Robin, and I fell in love with the name. It was so small and dainty sounding. I just think it's beautiful.

|| Juliet

Me and my siblings have been watching, "Psych" and there is a character in it with this name, and I love it. <3 It's just so pretty. I remember Felicity always saying she wanted to have a Juliet, so we'll have to see if I end up using the name or not. xD

|| Faith

This one just sounds so pretty. Don't you think?

|| September

I really like those, "ember" months I guess! *laughs* With this name, I can picture a sweet little blond head, with a freckled face bouncing through a field of daisies. *sighs* Isn't it adorable?

|| Rosetta

*grins* Oh yes. Those who know me know, I loved any name with Rose in it as a kid. Rose, Rosie, Roslyn, Rosella, Roseann, you name it, I had it on my "list". *laughs*
But... I still love the name Rosetta. Oh how elegant. Just think! Twins, a boy and a girl. Rafe and Rosetta. *melts* Isn't it just adorable?!

Whew! That took longer than you'd think! Well, I hope you enjoyed this! What's your favorite baby names?!

Top Ten Westerns (tv shows included)

*rubs hands excitedly* Ooooh, this is going to be fun. Don't ya think?

I thought, since I love cowboys so much and you all know it, why not give you all a list of my top ten westerns? I'll bet you could even guess a few that will be on this list. *winks* It's going include some tv shows as well, that way I don't have to come up with as many movies. *winks* This post won't only be fun for you to read, but fun for me to do. xP I'm obsessed with cowboys so, I'll try my hardest to keep my fan-girling inside. *laughs* It may leak out on occasion though. *sticks tongue out*

|| Laramie

This show is. my. favorite. <3 Just the way Slim takes 'outlaw Jess' in and helps put him on the right track again is amazing. The way they interact with each other and become closer than brothers through the years is heartwarming. Also, the way they look out for each other is amazing. Jess is just plain amazing. *swoonsville*
If you'd like to watch this show, ask your local library to buy it (like I did) or, if you have STARZ on Amazon it's there. If I were you, I'd go and get STARZ right away if I didn't have it. xP

|| Rawhide

Now. This show held number one in my heart for a long time, that is until I found Laramie. *winks* But it's still dear to me and I still love to watch it. <3
I really don't have as much to say about it as I thought. Rowdy and Pete are amazing and that's all you need to know. *winks*

|| The Shadow Riders

*squeals* I literally just watched this movie for the first time last night. For real. And... I loved it! <3 This movie is based on the good ol' book of Louis L'Amour's, The Shadow Riders. I honestly can't remember if I read that book, but I do know I loved this movie. <3 *grins* It's nothing like the book, (I'm told) but it's amazing and beautiful. *grins* They're the most adorable brothers ever and the way they interact with each other is adorable. And the way they treat their sisters is adorable. Take my word for it. It's such a good movie. You should watch it. That's all you need to know. xP

|| The Sons Of Katie Elder

Now. This movie is also another one that I've recently found. When my sister lived in N.H. she mentioned this movie and told us to watch it. I jumped at the idea I mean, come on! it's a western with Dean Martin as one of the main brothers! Oh, and John Wayne. xP The other two are pretty cool too I suppose but Dean was my favorite. Another one that i loved the way the brothers interacted with each other. This movie had me sitting on the edge of my seat and chewing my nails. It was beautiful.
This one is actually on Amazon Prime so that's another plus. *winks*

|| My Pal Trigger

Oooh, Roy. <3 You all know how cool he is so I will spare you all the details. *winks* In this movie, Roy's mare gives birth to Trigger, and he falls in love with the little guy. Sadly, after a cougar bangs up Trigger's mother pretty badly, Roy is forced to put her down. Lots and lots of other things happen, but you'd be here all day if I told you everything. xP In the end Roy ends up with Trigger and Dale so all is good. *winks* I would watch this one all the time that one of my sisters would get so annoyed at me. She'd be like, "we always watch that one!"  *laughs* Which was true. xD

|| Under California Stars

Oh, look-y here. Another Roy Rogers movie! *grins* This one was always one of my favorites, I loved that there was little kid in it, and I loved seeing Roy interact with the little guy. It's a traditional Roy movie. Bad guys come, try and take Trigger away from Roy, the little boy tries to help, Roy save the day and ends the movie with a song. *all the hearts* The warm feelings I get watch Roy's movies make me smile. They bring back such good memories. <3

|| Wagon Train

Now, this show I've actually never watched. That is, completely. I've watched a handful of episodes on YouTube and really enjoyed it. I've been requesting to our library that they'd buy it but they haven't giving in. Yet. *laughs* Oh, and Robert Fuller (Jess from Laramie) is in this show too so... you get the point. I'm gonna love it know matter what. *laughs*

|| Robin Hood Of the Pecos

*grins* Yup. Another one. This one was another one of my favorites. I always loved that Roy was a sheriff and had to be rolled passed the bad guys in a large barrel. *laughs* Oh, I also love the song he sings in this one. About the poor cowboy who ends up not getting his girl. *shakes head* They way Roy songs is beautiful. <33

|| Winchester '73

I actually can't remember much about this one. Apparently I need to watch it again. *winks* i just remembered this was a western and that I enjoyed it. *laughs* I know it has something to do with his Winchester, I mean you probably knew that. It's called Winchester '73 for a reason. *face palm*

|| The Rebel

This is another one of my "recent" finds. I really enjoyed it and was sad when it ended. It's only two seasons but I can see why. It wasn't any Laramie or anything. *laughs* But, I did enjoy it a lot and I watched it all the time, which might be the reason I finished it quickly. *laughs*
This show is about a wondering rebel soldier after the war. He never stays in one place long, and just does his thing. *grins* You know, a typical wonderin' cowboy. *winks*

Well. I hope you enjoyed this and maybe even look into some of them! *grins*
