Happy Birthday, Bro

(picture off of Pinterest)

*hugs Chancy real tight*

Today my amazing big brother turned nineteen. *mind blown* It seems it was just yesterday that we were running through the woods together with our walkie talkies, climbing trees and reporting any cars that came down our little private dead end road.

Chancy has always been the big brother that was there for you when you really needed it. And I mean always. He was there for me even when I didn't notice.

Take August 31st 2007 for example. I hardly remember this, but home videos help jog my memory. He was turning six and I had already turned three a few days before. All us little kids were piled on the floor by the stove in the dim house of my grandparents waiting for him to open his big gift.
My grandma was sick and dying of cancer and we spent every waking moment in that house.
In the home video we have, Chancy looks a little sad and lost. I sat huddled close to his side. I was too young to really comprehend what was going on but he was there for me, that I know.
We were all waiting for the parents to give the go ahead for Chancy to open his gift. He was looking at me with those eyes of his and he pulled me into a hug and placed a kiss on my cheek. (I think. It could've been my forehead)
Now I don't remember it all that clear but the video helps a little. I just know that he was there for me and always will be. <3

I'm the one sitting by Chancy in the blue dress. You can hardly see me.

Sure our childhood wasn't all hugs and kisses. We had our scrapes like any child does. *winks* But I mostly remember all the good times together, though I can remember a few times I could just do without him for a day. xD

The best memory I have of playing with my "playmate of days past" (you'll find out who said that in my next post) is when we would dress into our play clothes, and believe me they were rags xP, and go climb trees. We had these awesome trees that would bend everywhere and we could shoot each other into the air with them. It was the best and for awhile there we spent every waking moment in those trees out back, acting like a bunch of wild Indians. xD

Thank you Chancy for being the best playmate any girl could ask for, and for being there when I need a good hug or just a few simple words of comfort. You know how to make me laugh, cry, and get on my nerves. *winks* But I love you. I hope your next year is filled with adventures and joy. Happy birthday big brother. <3

I hope you have a great day my friends! God bless!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen

*hello lovelies!*

The other day was my sweet sixteenth birthday!! *does a happy dance* So now I am officially sixteen. *mind blown*

My day was amazing. I woke up to, what usually happens on my birthday, my mom singing happy birthday to me and then telling me breakfast was ready. My breakfast was delicious!
Felicity came over with Kate in the morning and brought me a blended blue raspberry Italian soda from Arrowhead. It was sooooo good! Thanks sista!
I then dressed into my new clothes I ordered and Felicity took me outside and took my birthday pictures. (I'll share them at the bottom of this post *winks*)
Then I convinced Daminika to drive me to the big town and got to BV to get a bliss shake. (dairy free) So we did that and my shake was delicious!! I mean, when it's your birthday it's okay to have two special drinks in one day, am I right?
Then I just hung out with my mom, Kate, and sisters until the men got home.
After we ate a delicious supper of pasty, we played one of my favorite board games. "Loaded Questions"
Then, to finish off the night we watched an episode of one of my (many) favorite shows. "Numb3rs"

It was overall an awesome day and I still can't believe I'm actually sixteen. *laughs*

And, last Sunday we had a fairly big birthday party for me too. I'll do a post about it a little later.

Anywho! Here are some pictures from my day and what I got from people. (most of the gifts I opened at my birthday party but whatever xD)

My mom and dad got me this bedding and I LOVE it. *hearts for days*

Chancy got me this adorable lamp that I have been
wanting forever, fairy lights and "Emergency!"!!!! *squeals* Thanks Bro!! <3
(If you all don't know already. "Emergency!" is one of my favorite shows)

Felicity and Josiah gave me these adorable little fake succulent plants. <3
Thank you, guys!!

Danielle knows what I like. *winks*

Jasmin and Aubrey gave me these. I love the scrunchies so much! And I'm
so excited to use the gift card. Thank you!!

Damara gave me these. I just love the journal and washi tape.
Thanks girl!!! <3

*squeals* Eeeeeek! Oh my goodness! My sisters (LaKaysha and Daminika
are the best!!! Thank you sooooo much!
(you should've seen me open this. I was so excited I was squealing and
being, well, myself. xD)

Birthday pictures...

Man. I can't believe I'm sixteen. My "dream" age. *laughs* I'm excited to see what God has in store for me and I hope my year is filled with joy. <3

Well, what's been up in your life? Have any birthdays recently? I hope you have a blessed day, and God be with you. <3

Campout || VLOG

*excited squeals*

Okay. So after much thought, I finally decided to share with you all a vlog me and Damara did when we went camping!!!

I was trying to figure out if I should post it or not because, well, I do not like my voice and laugh. *cringes* But I mean, I think everyone watches a video of themselves and think they sounds weird. Or is that just me??

I hope you enjoy this. And guys, I act just like myself in this video so don't be scared away. *laughs*

(I posted this on Daminika's channel just so you know. *winks*)

Whew! I can't believe I posted that. *sweaty face* *laughs* I hope you enjoyed it though! *winks* Have a good day! God bless! <3

Saying Goodbye Is Always Hard

*takes a deep breath*

You all may not even care, but last Saturday was a hard one for me.

My grandpa sold his house so we helped him and my step-grandma move. They're moving closer and I'm happy and excited, but it's still hard.

This place has been so dear and near to me. It's the place where I said goodbye to my grandma. The place where so many memories were made. Sad and happy. The place where I could take a deep breath of air from the room above the garage and many memories would flood my head. The place I loved.

Sure it was just a house. But it was a special place and I will truly miss it.

If I went above the garage or in the office in the shop, and smelled it, it brought me back to childhood when Grandma was still alive. One whiff and it was like I could smell Grandma again. Now it's gone.

When I think of Kate not knowing where her grandma grew up and all there is to think about, I cry.

It's hard to goodbye, but I know I'll be okay. I can't quite explain what I'm trying to, and I'm not good with words when it means the most so here's a link to my sister's blog where she explains it better.

So many years of looking up at that fan...

This has been "The Memory Tree" my entire life. Where about
every grandchild carved their initials into it. <3

My mom and her brother built this ladder for their fort
so many years ago...

Though it may be hard God is always going to be there. Just remember that. <3

Driving Update

(photo credits go to yours truly *winks*)

*hello lovelies*

I was just reading a few of my older posts and decided that it would be fun to give you an update about my driving since my last one.

I have become way more comfortable behind the wheel than before. *laughs* Like, I actually love to drive. It's something that makes me happy. *winks*

Just the other day, my mom had to run to town and do a few things but was feeling dizzy so she had me drive. *sunglasses* I even parked straight at the store so that's awesome. *laughs* Then, after my mom drove to the bank and a couple more places, I jumped back into the driver seat and headed towards home.
My dad text my mom and wanted us to run through Arrowhead and get coffee on the way home and drop it off by him because the house he was working at was close by. So, I did. *wide eyes* I drove through a coffee drive through and ordered my dad some coffee! (along with myself  and my mom xP) *pats self on back* I say that I did pretty awesome. *laughs*

Driving has turned out to be not near as scary as I had first imagined. I actually love it. It's hard to explain but I just love to drive around and I can't wait to get my license! Eeeeeeeeeeeeek! If all goes well I should be able to get my license by September 3rd!! *happy dance*

So the picture on the left is the first time driving and then the one
on the right is from a month ago maybe? *shrugs* I'm not sure.
But anyways, don't I look way more comfortable?
*laughs bc I'm squeezing the steering wheel so hard in the first pic*

Well, I guess that was my little update for ya! I hope you weren't too bored with it. xP

Behind The Blogger || T A G

hello there!

I know, it feels like forever since I posted last. (or is that just me?) But I'm here again so don't worry! *winks* I've been kind of busy. I guess life has just been happening so I don't have much to write about. *winks*
Anyways, I was tagged by Leah, over at Sunshine Of Mine for this really fun sounding tag and I can't wait to do it. Thanks for tagging me!!

Why did you start blogging, and why have you kept blogging?
Hmm... Not for any reason really. All my sisters had blogs and I just wanted to be like them, so way back in 2017, I started this blog here. *laughs bc some of the posts I used to do were, well... awful!*
Now, the reason I kept blogging is, I love to see what everyone has to say. Share my thoughts, life, and anything really. It's just a thing that makes me happy so I haven't stopped. *winks*

What is your type of blog posts to write?
Probably, art posts, photo dumps, and stories. *shrugs* Not sure but maybe. *laughs*

What are your top three favorite blog posts?
Ooooh, this a hard one because I have like, a ton of favorites. *laughs*
I like all four of my "adventures" posts, and my drawing one. *grins*

What are some of your favorite things to do to relax?
Hmmm.... *thinks* Listen to music, watch a good show\movie, and read the Bible.

What are three of your favorite things?
Boy. I have a lot of things that are my favorite. *laughs* Let's see... I guess I'll say; drives to get coffee with friends, that moment when you're laughing so hard you cry, and, Kate's smiles, snuggles, and kisses. <3

What are your favorite blogging moments?
When I check to see if anyone commented and find at least five comments. When people really enjoy my post and share their thoughts. When a blog post comes out just how you want it. And sharing little bits of my life, and memories. <3

What are your hobbies outside of blogging?
Drawing, painting, and writing. *winks*

Describe your personality in three words.
Boy. I don't know! *laughs* Maybe something like; fun, dramatic, and romantic. *blushes* I don't know. This has always been a hard one for me to answer.
My mom says, "Bubbly, talkative, outdoorsy, animal lover, baby lover, and creative." Yes that's more than three but it does describe me. *winks*

What are your top three pet peeves?
*chuckles* Ask my family. They'd say, "THERE'S TOO MANY!!!" *laughs* I have a lot okay?
I guess I'll say for my top three, when someone lays on my bed(I'm working on that one, okay?), when the bathroom fan gets left on when no one's in there, and someone brushing their hair from top to bottom instead of bottom to top. *laughs* I kind of have OCD so I have a lot of "pet peeves".

What is something that your followers don't know about you?
Huh. I actually don't know. Let me think on that....
*like forever later* I'm an open book! I'm pretty sure I've told you like almost all there is to know about me. *laughs* Okay, okay, I should have something!
Okay, I think I've got it. It isn't much but it's something. *winks*
When I was little I would watch "Little Bear" all the time and there was this one part that I loved. I would beg my siblings to replay it over and over. It was the scene where Duck is walking around in the dark and can't see anything. He would run into things and I would die laughing. *laughs* My siblings got pretty annoyed with me watching it over and over. But it was funny! *still laughs at Duck*
