Celtic Thunder Songs || TOP TEN

 hello lovelies!

 I figured it would be fun to come on here and list my top ten favorite Celtic Thunder songs! Even if you folks don't care much for it, I want to be able to come back and read this post and make myself smile. *winks* ;P

If you don't even know who Celtic Thunder are, you MUST listen to these songs. *heart eyes* I still remember the day we discovered them on Facebook when my uncle posted "A Place In The Choir". *heart eyes again*

Through the years some of the singers have changed, and back when we were bias we hated any new singers, but we all grew up and learned to apricate the new singers. (even though the first are still the best we do like the new ones too, lol)

A N Y W H O !

Here are my top ten! (and not in any order cause.... that would be too hard)

"A Place In The Choir"
(*hearts for days*)

"Surfer Meledy"
(this song is just so seventies I love it)

"Do Wacka Do"
(lol, I don't even know why but I love this song so much. xD)

"The Sound of Silence"
(Keith and Colm have such great harmony in this one *heart eyes*)

"Castle On The Hill"
(this one is just fun and catchy and I love it)

"Toora Lorra Lay"
(there is one swear word)

"Galway Girl"
(I just love Colm and Damian when they sing together. *heart for daaaayyyss*)

"Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For"

"Home From The Sea"

"Steal Away"

*melts* Aren't they just amazing? Their voices all go together so well and it's just out in out beautiful! And Damian has a beautiful deep voice. Here's a cover I listen to all the time of Damian and his wife singing. *heart eyes* I just love the way they did it.

I hope you enjoyed this random little post as much as I did putting it together! Have a wonderful night and God bless you always. <3

Movies That Make Me Happy || TOP TEN

hello lovelies!!

First off, can I just say......................

I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNTIE AGAIN!!!!! Baby E. number two, will be, Lord willing, arriving in December sometime. I can't wait for my little Christmas gift. <3 <3 Felicity told us the news in the beginning of this month and I've been excited ever since. *winks*
Kate is going to be such a cute big sister. I just still can't believe how big she's getting! Just this last night, she stayed overnight with Grandma and Grandpa. <3 She's getting so big!

A N Y W A Y S

With that said, I thought it would be fun if I gave you all a list of movies that make me all warm and happy inside. I haven't done any posts like this for awhile now and I thought it was about time I did one again. *winks*

So without further ado... my top ten, happy feeling movies!!

|| The Shadow Riders

*grins* Yes, you knew this one was going to be on here. But what can I say? I love it. <3

This was a movie I was always told about as a kid and I couldn't wait until I was big enough to finally watch it. It has become one of my all time favorites and that's that. xD

It gives you all the feelings you'll ever need. Romantic, in a way xP, excitement, warm, and just plain loveable. <3

If you haven't watched it, I say you should. *winks* They do swear some in it, just warning ya. *winks*

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

|| Wild Hearts Can't Be Broke

I don't even remember the "first" time I watched this, in all honesty here. But I do know that I fell in love with it from the start.

Al is just the sweetest thing ever. The way he treats Sanora is just... *all the hearts* It's beautiful. <3

There is one swear word in this, though I never really knew that because I always had big siblings around. *wink wink* If you know what I mean. xP

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

|| Tammy and the Bachelor

Ahhh, Tammy... <3 Debbie Remolds did such a good job as Tammy and this movie is such a good one!

Pete is such a sweetie and treats Tammy so tenderly. <3 I just love a good clean, romantic movie and this is definitely one of those!

I've watched this movie more than I can count and it's always a win with me. *winks*

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

|| The Stratton Story

Jimmy Stewart is an all time favorite of mine. Practically every movie of his is a win. (not sure if there was ever one I didn't like)

This one is so sweet and it's based on a true story, which makes it all the better!

The way his wife sticks by him after his accident and never gives up is so beautiful. Sure she had breakdowns but she stayed strong. I absolutely love this one. <3 (it's amazing I don't own it)

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

|| The Barefoot Executive

Kurt Russel is just awesome, okay?

I grew up watching this one and I just love to go back and watch it every now and again. It brings back such happy and warm feelings. <3

It's also really cute and funny so you should watch it. *winks*

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

|| Gidget Goes to Rome

Gaaaah! Oaky, can I just stop for a moment and say... I love James Darren.

With that said, this movie is adorable!! "Moondoggie", and Gidget are just about the cutest couple out there. <3

Jeff makes a mistake in this movie, but the way he comes back to her, telling her how wrong he was, was just about the cutest thing ever. *all the hearts* I just love this one.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

|| Lion King 2 Simba's Pride

*giggles* Yes, I'm in love with a lion.

My whole life, Simba was my favorite, and to see him as a daddy was even cuter. But, in all honesty here, Kovu is just plain awesome. *laughs*

It's okay to love a fake lion, right? I mean, my sisters agree with me on this one so it must be okay. xP

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

|| The Moon Spinners

This. One. *hearts forever*

I remember watching this one at Grandma and Grandpa's so it's even more special to me than others.

Mark and Nikky are so. stinking. cute. I just love this one. It's definitely a must watch.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

|| Anne of Avonlea

*cries* This movie is... priceless.
I cry like a baby every time I watch it and it warms my heart like no other. <3

It makes me think of Grandma, and better times. It's just so sweet and cozy.

Almost everyone's watched this one, right? If not, go watch it.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

|| The Magic of Ordinary Days

I watched this movie for the first time not too long along... maybe a year or so??

And all I know is it's now one of my favorites!

The story is so cute. It's different from all the other hallmark movies out there, and I like that. *laughs* It's not a cheesy hallmark like all the others. It actually has a different story line! *laughs*

It's super good and really clean and adorable. <3

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Well I hope you enjoyed and I can't wait to hear your thoughts!! Comments make me happy. <3 Have a good day and God bless!!

top ten || tv shows (updated)

Hello lovelies!!

I was trying to think of something to blog about and thought you might like to see my (updated) top ten tv shows. I know I've done a post like this awhile back but this one is more accurate now. xP I've discovered more new\amazing shows so that's why I thought I'd give you an update. *winks*

1 || L A R A M I E

Yes. I know you all know about this but hey, it's my favorite so.... that's what's what. *grins*

Slim Sherman (John Smith) Jonesy (Hoagy Carmichael) the housekeeper and dear friend, and Slim's younger brother Andy, (Robert Crawford Jr.) are running their family ranch\relay station after their parents are dead, and Jess Harper (Robert Fuller) happens along on their ranch... (you all probably know all this but whatever) Jess has a past and was a gunfighter. Andy takes to Jess right away and wants to become pals. It takes Slim awhile longer to warm up to the stranger, but after a few fights, some bad guys, and scuffling, the two become closer than brothers and it's just adorable. <3

R A N D O M    Q U O T :

Jess just insulted Slim, who chases him down and grabs him, dunking him in the water trough. Jess manages to pull him under with him, and comes up spitting and gasping. Slim wipes at his dripping face and grins, while Jess looks at him and groans, "Aw...it ain't even Saturday!"

2 || E M E R G E N C Y !

This series aired at a time when ambulance coverage in the United States was rapidly expanding and changing, and the role of a paramedic was emerging as a profession. The series is credited with popularizing the concepts of EMS and paramedics in American society, and even inspiring other states and municipalities to expand the service. Before this show we didn't have paramedics and they brought awareness to them. (off of Wikipedia)

Firemen\paramedics, Johnny Gage (Randolph Mantooth) and Roy DeSoto (Kevin Tigh)  are two of my favorites in this show, along with Dr. Brackett (Robert Fuller). The way they all try their hardest to save lives, and help people is heartwarming. And, come on. Just look at Johnny's (one on the far right) face! #swoonsville What's there not to love? xP I just really think this show is fascinating and I love to watch all them work. To watch the way they used to preform surgery and stuff, is actually kinda fascinating. Though Daminika gets creeped out. xP

(note: they never show them actually doing the surgery, but you do see some blood and cuts.)

As you all probably know, I have this thing for firefighters so when we started watching this show, I was totally excited!! *squeals* It's a great show and I think you should check it out!!

R A M    :

Johnny: looks at a man's "work of art" made of garbage and proclaims, "I like it."

Chet (another fireman): "Me too. Hey, John check this out." Then the two go off to see what he was talking about

Roy: Shakes head and says, "I don't know... I must be getting old. I don't like pop art, I don't like rock music, I keep my hair too short and I shower everyday."

3 || F A T H E R   K N O W S    B E S T

Now. This show is an absolute favorite in this family. <3 I can't even count how many times we've sat around the living room as a family and watched this amazing show together. <3 *all the feels* It's just such a good, clean, family show and you should watch it!! They have such good morals and give you good messages through out this show and I think it's a must watch.

Jim (Robert Young) and Margaret (Jane Wyatt), raise their three children in their lovely home in Springfield. Betty (Elinor Donahue) the oldest, is a sweet big sister but has her ups and downs just like any girl would. *winks* Bud the middle child, aka James Anderson Jr., (Billy Gray) is a fun-going, goof ball and is always making us laugh. The way he is, reminds me so much of my own brother that it's no wonder that he's my favorite character. *grins* Kathy (Lauren Chapin) the youngest, is full of smiles and has a saying that we always quote, "awe turn blue" *laughs*

R A M    :

Bud: Gets the mail and looks through it. "This is a special delivery for Dad from the Universal Alumni Association."

Jim: "I wonder how much money they want now. (Bud is shaking Jim's letter, trying to read it) Why don't you hold it up to the light so you can see it better?"

Bud: "Never thought of that." (Holds it up to the light) "Can't see a thing."

Jim: "Bud, as long as it's addressed to me, do you mind letting me have it?"

4 || R O A D   TO   A V O N L E A

Awe..... *hearts* This show. I just love it. <3

This show is such a sweet show. I've watched it since I was little. Our library has it and I still watch it from time to time. It brings me such happy feelings. Don't you ever have a show or movie that's done that to you??
There are so many characters that I can't name them all. *laughs* So I'll just name a few of my favorites. *winks* Felicity King (Gema Zamprogna) has always been a favorite of mine. to watch her grow from a child into a beautiful adult is heartwarming. And the way she falls in love with, another favorite of mine, Gus Pike (Michael Mahonen) is adorable. And their story is just the best. <3 Felix King (Zachary Bennett), Sarah Stanley (Sarah Polley), Andrew (Joel Blake), and Izzy Pettibone (Heather Brown), are my other favorites but I won't talk about them. 'cause you'd be here awhile. xP

R A M    :

Felicity talking about Gus: "I intend to set my sights much higher than a dirt-covered boy who lives in an old lighthouse!"

5 || H O G A N ' S    H E R O E S

This show is another one of my siblings and I's favorites. <3 It's a great comedy and I love it. xD
Hogan (Bob Crane) and his men are being held in a POW and are helping in the underground beneath Commandant Klink's (Werner Klemperer) nose. *laughs* Their guard and "helper" Schultz (John Banner) is just so funny in his big, loud way. He has this thing he always says whenever he sees Hogan's plans for the underground or something and we like to quote it. *laughs* The way they're always getting in and out of camp without Klink's knowing is just hilarious. I really like it and you should check it out!!

R A M    :

Colonel Klink: "When I looked out the window I thought I saw a chimpanzee raking in the garden."

Hogan: "Well if it makes you feel any better, sir, there IS a chimpanzee raking in the garden."

Colonel Klink: "WHAT?!"

6 || R A W H I D E

Awe, yes. This show is a good one! *winks* It was my number one for quite a spell their but... I guess not anymore. xP

This show is about men driving cattle in the old west. The episodes don't go together but each one is filled with excitement and sometimes even romance... <3 Which is the cutest thing ever. *winks*
Mr. Favor (Eric Fleming) the trail boss is a typical trail boss in my mind. Always giving orders and trying his hardest to get all the cattle to the rail head safely. For a long time there, he was my favorite in this show but that slowly faded away... My favorite going to Rowdy (Clint Eastwood) when I realized that Mr. Favor was a little grumpy all the time. *laughs* Rowdy is such a funny, sweet guy. I mean come on, he's Clint Eastwood! <3 Oh, and Pete! He's the best too! *winks*

R A M    :

Hey Soos: lets a man come and steal Mr. Favor's horse. "I am a fool. I shall go and drown myself."

Rowdy: "Where? In a bucket? There ain't no water for miles."

Me: *still laughing at Rowdy*

7 || M Y   T H R E E   S O N S

Now. This show I actually haven't watched all the way through because they haven't released them all. *sad face* But the few seasons (or was it just the first season??) that I've watched are really good and I'd really like to watch the whole show. Amazon is slowly selling more and more seasons so maybe I'll just have to buy them??

This show is a little like Father Knows Best. You know, that style of show? *laughs* Steve Douglas (Fred MacMurray)  and the boys' live-in maternal grandfather and housekeeper, Bub (William Frawley) raise Steve's three sons, and I guess later on in the show the oldest leaves and they adopt another son. xP So technically there's not only three sons but, we'll forgive them. *winks* Robbie (Don Grady), being my favorite character from this show is a goofy guy, full of energy, and sings. So, yeah. I guess that's all I can think of to say about this show. *winks*

R A M    :

Robbie: "Beanbrain!"

Mike: "Knothead!"

8 || T H E   D I C K   V A N   D Y K E   S H O W

This is another family favorite so yeah... *laughs* Of course it's going to be on my list. *winks*

Rob Petrie (Dick Van Dyke) is a hardworking, television writer for the "Allan Brady Show" and his wife Laura (Mary Tyler Moore) is a sweet, lovable mother\wife. Unlike most mothers then, she is content to be a stay-at-home mother and raise their son, Richie (Larry Mathews). There are other characters that we all love but I don't feel like writing about them. *laughs at myself* It's just such a cute, and hilarious show and I think everyone should watch it. So, I guess that's all I got to say about it. *laughs*

R A M    :

(note: this is from one of my favorite episodes)

(Sally, Buddy, Rob and Laura are staying in a haunted cabin, all four are in the same bed because they are scared of the ghost)

Rob: "It's been over two hours and nothing strange or unusual has happened."

Sally: "Oh, really? What do you call four grown people sleeping in the same bed with their clothes on?"

Me: *still laughing*

9 || T H E   A N D Y   G R I F F I T H   S H O W

Awe, yes. You all know The Andy Griffith Show, right? This show is such a good one! *all the hearts* Just like, Father Knows Best, it's a great family show. <3

Andy Taylor (Andy Griffith) is the sheriff of Mayberry, along with hie beloved deputy, Barney Fife (Don Knotts). As we all know, Barney is a goofy guy who can almost always make us laugh. Aunt Bee (Frances Bavier), helps raise Andy's son, Opie (Ron Howard) and it's just such a cute\funny show. If you've never watched it, then you must not be living! *laughs* (okay, I'll forgive you if you haven't but...)

R A M    :

Leon (a random little boy that's in the show): tries to hand Andy a half eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Andy: "No thanks. No thanks, Leon. No thanks."

10 || T H E   W A L T O N S

Now this show I grew up watching with my siblings and I'll admit it, I was a little scared of some of the episodes in it but I've grown up now. *laughs* xP I really enjoyed re-watching some of the episodes again and I would like to re-watch a lot of it. Only I am sad that, SPOILER ALERT! they kill off Curt (Tom Bower), Maryellen's (Judy Norton) husband, only to bring him back as a different man. *glares* If you're gonna kill him, and not bring him back the same guy, keep him dead!! I also really don't like that they replace John Boy (Richard Thomas).... *all the sad looks*

This show is about the Walton family who live on 'Walton Mountain'. There are soooooooooo many characters that I can't even begin to name them all. But I'll name a few of my favorites. Daddy (Ralph Waite), is such a convincing dad, and I really like they way he interacts with everyone. Mamma (Michael Learned), is another convincing mother and I like her character quite a bit too. John Boy definitely has got to be my favorite. He's such a sweet big brother and I just love his character. <3 There are more, but you'd be here awhile. *laughs*

R A M    :

Grandma Walton: "Rise and shine, you two!"

Jason: "I'll rise, but I sure won't shine."

Honorable Mentions:

"Psych"
"I Love Lucy"
"Little House On The Prairie"
"Father Murphy"

Whew! I did it! (that took a lot longer than you'd think)

I hope you enjoyed this! Until my monthly photo dump! God bless, my friends! (also, should I get a trim and layers in my hair?? tell me your thoughts in the comments!!!)

Top Ten Westerns (tv shows included)

*rubs hands excitedly* Ooooh, this is going to be fun. Don't ya think?

I thought, since I love cowboys so much and you all know it, why not give you all a list of my top ten westerns? I'll bet you could even guess a few that will be on this list. *winks* It's going include some tv shows as well, that way I don't have to come up with as many movies. *winks* This post won't only be fun for you to read, but fun for me to do. xP I'm obsessed with cowboys so, I'll try my hardest to keep my fan-girling inside. *laughs* It may leak out on occasion though. *sticks tongue out*

|| Laramie

This show is. my. favorite. <3 Just the way Slim takes 'outlaw Jess' in and helps put him on the right track again is amazing. The way they interact with each other and become closer than brothers through the years is heartwarming. Also, the way they look out for each other is amazing. Jess is just plain amazing. *swoonsville*
If you'd like to watch this show, ask your local library to buy it (like I did) or, if you have STARZ on Amazon it's there. If I were you, I'd go and get STARZ right away if I didn't have it. xP

|| Rawhide

Now. This show held number one in my heart for a long time, that is until I found Laramie. *winks* But it's still dear to me and I still love to watch it. <3
I really don't have as much to say about it as I thought. Rowdy and Pete are amazing and that's all you need to know. *winks*

|| The Shadow Riders

*squeals* I literally just watched this movie for the first time last night. For real. And... I loved it! <3 This movie is based on the good ol' book of Louis L'Amour's, The Shadow Riders. I honestly can't remember if I read that book, but I do know I loved this movie. <3 *grins* It's nothing like the book, (I'm told) but it's amazing and beautiful. *grins* They're the most adorable brothers ever and the way they interact with each other is adorable. And the way they treat their sisters is adorable. Take my word for it. It's such a good movie. You should watch it. That's all you need to know. xP

|| The Sons Of Katie Elder

Now. This movie is also another one that I've recently found. When my sister lived in N.H. she mentioned this movie and told us to watch it. I jumped at the idea I mean, come on! it's a western with Dean Martin as one of the main brothers! Oh, and John Wayne. xP The other two are pretty cool too I suppose but Dean was my favorite. Another one that i loved the way the brothers interacted with each other. This movie had me sitting on the edge of my seat and chewing my nails. It was beautiful.
This one is actually on Amazon Prime so that's another plus. *winks*

|| My Pal Trigger

Oooh, Roy. <3 You all know how cool he is so I will spare you all the details. *winks* In this movie, Roy's mare gives birth to Trigger, and he falls in love with the little guy. Sadly, after a cougar bangs up Trigger's mother pretty badly, Roy is forced to put her down. Lots and lots of other things happen, but you'd be here all day if I told you everything. xP In the end Roy ends up with Trigger and Dale so all is good. *winks* I would watch this one all the time that one of my sisters would get so annoyed at me. She'd be like, "we always watch that one!"  *laughs* Which was true. xD

|| Under California Stars

Oh, look-y here. Another Roy Rogers movie! *grins* This one was always one of my favorites, I loved that there was little kid in it, and I loved seeing Roy interact with the little guy. It's a traditional Roy movie. Bad guys come, try and take Trigger away from Roy, the little boy tries to help, Roy save the day and ends the movie with a song. *all the hearts* The warm feelings I get watch Roy's movies make me smile. They bring back such good memories. <3

|| Wagon Train

Now, this show I've actually never watched. That is, completely. I've watched a handful of episodes on YouTube and really enjoyed it. I've been requesting to our library that they'd buy it but they haven't giving in. Yet. *laughs* Oh, and Robert Fuller (Jess from Laramie) is in this show too so... you get the point. I'm gonna love it know matter what. *laughs*

|| Robin Hood Of the Pecos

*grins* Yup. Another one. This one was another one of my favorites. I always loved that Roy was a sheriff and had to be rolled passed the bad guys in a large barrel. *laughs* Oh, I also love the song he sings in this one. About the poor cowboy who ends up not getting his girl. *shakes head* They way Roy songs is beautiful. <33

|| Winchester '73

I actually can't remember much about this one. Apparently I need to watch it again. *winks* i just remembered this was a western and that I enjoyed it. *laughs* I know it has something to do with his Winchester, I mean you probably knew that. It's called Winchester '73 for a reason. *face palm*

|| The Rebel

This is another one of my "recent" finds. I really enjoyed it and was sad when it ended. It's only two seasons but I can see why. It wasn't any Laramie or anything. *laughs* But, I did enjoy it a lot and I watched it all the time, which might be the reason I finished it quickly. *laughs*
This show is about a wondering rebel soldier after the war. He never stays in one place long, and just does his thing. *grins* You know, a typical wonderin' cowboy. *winks*

Well. I hope you enjoyed this and maybe even look into some of them! *grins*

Top Ten Movie Cowboys + a small history lesson

So as you all know I'm a cowboy lover. *grins* I'm sure you all could guess what my top ten movie cowboys are, but I thought I'd do a post about it anyways. *laughs* I did one when I first started my blog, so quite awhile ago, but my top ten has changed since then. *cheesy grin*
Let's begin then, with the tenth one and work our way to my number one cowboy. *laughs*

10. Ronald Reagan.
I can't actually remember if I've watched a western that he was in, but I sure know I like him. *laughs*

9. Gabby Hayes.
He was Roy Rogers sidekick, and an adorably sweet old man. You've just gotta love him. <3

8. Rex Allen.
I remember watching a couple of his movies and really enjoying them. He's got such a nice voice too. He sings lovely.

7. Gary Cooper.
I just love this man. <3

6. Fess Parker.
Now, this man I grew up watching. We all loved him, and I just love the way he sings. <3

5. Pete Nolan.
I watched pretty much all of the Rawhide TV show and was devastated when Pete left the show. I nearly cried. #truestory
Also, his real name is Sheb Wooley and he was a singer of some sort I believe. He's got a really good voice too. *laughs*

4. Rowdy Yates.
Now. I'm pretty sure everyone knows Clint Eastwood. *laughs* I just love his character in Rawhide. *giggles* He even sings in some of the episodes!! *dies*

3. Mr. Favor.
*giggles* I'm sure you all heard about how much I like Mr. Favor. *laughs*

2. Johnny Yuma.
I just recently watched all of The Rebel and really enjoyed them. Like, a lot. *laughs*
Anyone surprised to see he's number two? *laughs*

1. Roy Rogers.
This man has been my hero every since I could remember. I'm pretty sure I popped out loving him. *laughs* He was the King Of The Cowboys along with his good ol' horse Trigger, The Smartest Horse In The Movies, and his beloved wife Dale, the Queen Of The West!

************

So there you have it. My top ten cowboys. I'm sure you all could guess Roy was going to be number one. *grins* I think I talk\talked about him a lot.
I've just been recently reading a few of the Rogers' family's books. I read Cowboy Princess written by, Cheryl Rogers (Roy's daughter) and now I am reading Roy and Dale's book called Happy Trails and it's such a sweet, sad, and cute story. I'd say it's a must read.
Dale also wrote a book about their Down Syndrome daughter Robin. It's called Angel Unaware and I really want to read it. After she wrote it it the world started accepting Down Syndrome children. Before she wrote her book, the world hid their children with Down Syndrome, and let no one see them. They were all ashamed of them. But after Dale wrote Angel Unaware she changed the world. They (as in Roy and Dale) seen a whole platform of children with Down Syndrome at rodeos they preformed in, right after her book was published.
Dale says it's not her story, but she was just simply the tool to use to get it on paper. God and Robin did the rest.

*laughs* I guess I felt like giving you all a small history lesson today!
Well anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post. *grins*

"Happy trails to you, until we meet again...."
